WOW
“Wings Over Wimberley is a city-wide cultural event with music, art, food, and fun, celebrating the thousands of free-tailed Mexican bats that call Wimberley home.”
What a success! Wings Over Wimberley attracted visitors from near and far to see, learn about, and celebrate the important role bats play in the Central Texas ecosystems. As they learned to appreciate our bats, visitors and locals alike were able to experience the artisans, one-of-a-kind shops, talented musicians, craft cuisine, and unique lodgings that make Wimberley’s high-vibing culture so special.
Where: Wimberley, Texas between the Bridge and Ozona Bank.
The bat signal went up and Gotham confirmed that Batman will be at WOW!

How You Can Be Involved in
Wings Over Wimberley 2021
Sponsor, become a vendor, volunteer, or attend. Everyone is welcome!
We’ll be celebrating the Mexican Free Tail bats, who live under the Cypress Creek bridge. Sadly many of our flying mammals were lost in the February freeze, so we’ll share educational information about these amazing creatures and why they are needed.
Join us in Wimberley, between the bridge and Ozona bank for food, entertainment, and wonderful art.
